Long lost times

No idea why and how and it just happened but I stumbled across Signor Rossi

Do you know that guy with his dog Gastone?

Always on the search for luck he got a 'wonderwhistle' from a fairy with which he could travel into different times. With his friend Gastone he sees and lives the weirdest adventure but has to notice that the past isn't better as the present.
Badly traced and painted but lovable anyway. At least for me as kid.

So I went to AMAZON. I was curious if you can get it on DVD yet and here it was (crazy prices btw.) and when I scrolled down the list I saw something else from my childhood...

Dr. Snuggles

Years ago friends wanted to persuade me that this was an imagination. Probably my invisble friend

But hey he existed:

The lovable and friendly inventor with his jumping walking stick which head looks like a duck and was able to talk. With his friends the mouse Knabber and the badger Dennis he flew to far distant places to save people from danger in his amazing flying machine.

Well then my mind started to work   Yeah that happens from time to time. And compared to the kids today our TV time a day was pretty limited. Not because our parents didn't let us just because there wasn't much on time here in good old Germany. We had three TV broadcasting stations and I guess (if at all) there was an hour for kids a day. At least as long as I was younger than 9 years. We had no computer no game station but if lucky a cassette recorder. Hard to imagine uh?

But there were a few more cartoons, apart from the Smurfs and Heidi

OK after a small research I found these:

Barbapapa                                                                                                Calimero

Maya the Bee                                                                                             Luzie

Rainbow Brite                                                                                             Pumuckl

He-Man & She-Ra                                                                                        Wickie

Did you know Bully want to film Wickie?! Someone I know told me that they do cast people for the film already. Remembering how ulgy they were I definitely want try to get a role

When I was 14 my parents got the first satellite system and a huge variety of programs

Crazy hmm.

So what TV Show did you watch that time? Do you remember some of the mentioned? Or different ones? Lemme know lol What was famous when you were young?

You know I spent it in Spain and there I saw: Heidi,Marco,Maya the bee, Calimero,Wickie (we called him Viky ehehe!),Pumuckl (or Pumuki),the Smurfs,Carebears,The snorks,Misha the bear...I know that there were more cartoons but can't remember right now.I have to think about it :)

Oh yeah I remember Marco. Wasn't he similar to Heidi, from drawing? The Snorks...I guess they had weird noses lol but not sure.

Sometimes I wouldn't mind to be able to turn back time ;)

Yeah, I think Marco was made by the same person. It was about an italian boy who travelled to Argentina to meet her mum.Very sad...

Totally agree. It would be nice back again. :)

yeah it's in the back of my head I guess I didn't watch it tooo often ;) Tho cartoons weren't that rich in detail and in 3D I still like the old ones much better than cartoons from these days
23rd-Jan-2008 10:27 am (UTC)
Yes, some of the new cartoon are weird.I prefer the old ones, no computer design but they had something special.
24th-Jan-2008 07:47 pm (UTC)
Exactly...they're really weird. Chinese or Japanese ones are funny. If the figures shout, laugh or cry you just see mouth and not more lol

Crazy to imagine they did paint and draw every second of that cartoons that time. Much more heart IMHO

lol what would we do without wiki. But well I can't remember that show. We didn't have much Japanese stuff on TV until we got satellite TV lol
11th-Feb-2008 02:57 pm (UTC)
Oh, it's a pity 'cause it was one of the best.;)
15th-Feb-2008 07:51 pm (UTC)
if you say so ;) I guess I was happy with what I had lol
17th-Feb-2008 12:56 pm (UTC)
Well, all of us..Sometimes I talk with my friends about our childhood and what thigs are right now...So different!
18th-Feb-2008 08:41 pm (UTC)
yeah it's interesting isn't it? I met two friends once a month and we know each other since we are three or so and most of the time we did things together, apart from a few breaks but even so when we talk one knows things the others can't remember and vice versa. Interesting.

yeah so different. Crazy to see all the changes in such a short time, actually
21st-Feb-2008 01:24 pm (UTC)
Yes, it's nice remembering the old times from time to time.

Imagine what a nightmare would be for a children living without his/her mobile right now...!
